What Is Capacitor
Capacitor is the most commonly used device in circuit design, and it is only one of the passive components. Active devices simply means that devices that require energy are called active devices, and devices that do not require energy are passive devices. Capacitors also often play an important role in high-speed circuits. The role and use of capacitors are generally many kinds, such as: the role of bypass, decoupling, filtering, energy storage, the role of oscillation synchronization and the role of time constant.

Capacitance Unit
The basic unit of capacitance is: F(method), in addition to μF (micromethod), nF(nano method), pF (skin method), the capacity of capacitance F is very large, we see is generally the unit of μF, nF, pF, 1F = 1000000μF; 1μF=1000nF=1000000pF; 1nF=1000pF
Capacitance Wthstand Voltage Value
Each capacitor has its voltage withstand value, the nominal voltage of ordinary non-polar capacitors are: 63V, 100V, 160V, 250V, 400V, 600V, 1000V and so on. The voltage withstand value of polar capacitor is relatively lower than that of non-polar capacitor, and the general nominal voltage withstand value is: 4V, 6.3V, 10V, 16V, 25V, 35V, 50V, 63V, 80V, 100V, 220V, 400V and so on

In-Line Non-Polar Capacitor:
The non-polar capacitor package is identified by RAD, with RAD-0.1 RAD-0.2 RAD-0.3 and so on. The number at the back represents the center hole spacing of the pad, unit inch 1in=1000mil 0.in =100mil=0.254mm Common chip capacitor (104) its package is RAD-0.1, which is expressed as a non-polar capacitor, and the two-pin spacing is 0.254(100mil).
In-line Polar Capacitor
The polar capacitor package is marked by RB, RD.2/.4 Rb.3 /.6 RB.4/.8, etc. The first number represents the center hole spacing of the pad, and the second number represents the capacitance diameter. The unit inch is as follows: RB.2/.4, its pin spacing is 200mil, the diameter is 400mil, sometimes in the description description package will directly say the diameter and height of the capacitor, C12*16, indicating that the capacitor diameter is 10mm, the height is 16mm.
