The focus between microprocessors and integrated circuits is not the same, microprocessors again point in the study is a way to miniaturise the circuit, the processor is the core of the computer system's computing as well as control, it is the final unit of execution in the processing of information as well as the operation of the program, the integrated circuits are completely different from the microprocessors, the integrated circuits are a miniature electronic device or an electronic component that combines the electronic components through the semiconductor process.

Concept of microprocessor

A microprocessor is an electronic computer component made of tiny transistors and a few other circuit elements on a single semiconductor C (integrated circuit) or microchip. The abbreviation for microprocessor is P or uP. The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the best-known microprocessor, but many other components in a computer contain them, such as the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) on a video card.
In the personal computer race, the names CPU and microprocessor are used interchangeably. Microprocessors are found in all PCs and most workstations. Microprocessors control the logic of almost all digital machines, from radio clocks to the fuel injection structure of a car. A microprocessor is a single IC package with multifunctional integration. There are five main types of microprocessors,
tiny units that provide the "brains" of a computer. Inside an ordinary silicon microprocessor, there are many tiny transistors and extremely small components. All of these components are used to help the computer work as intended.Types of Microprocessors

There are five main types of microprocessors as follows

Complex Instruction Set Microprocessors:This type of microprocessor is also known as CISM.CISM classifies microprocessors in which each order can be executed in conjunction with several other low-level functions. These functions are designed to perform operations such as uploading data to a memory card, recalling or downloading data from a memory card or performing complex mathematical calculations in a single command.
Reduced Instruction Set Microprocessor: Also known as RISC, it is designed to speed up computer microprocessors. These chips are built under the guidance of allowing the microprocessor to perform a smaller number of operations per command, which will allow it to complete more commands faster.
Bid volume processor:This type of processor copies the hardware on the microprocessor so that it can execute a large number of instructions simultaneously. These copy resources can be submitted arithmetic logic units or multipliers. A superscalar consists of several units of operation. A superscalar microprocessor executes multiple commands in a single clock cycle by simultaneously transmitting a large number of instructions to redundant operating units in the processor.
Application Specific Integrated Circuit:Also known as an ASIC microprocessor, it is used for extremely precise purposes, which may include automotive platooning control or personal digital assistant computers.ASICs are sometimes produced to specification, but can also be manufactured by using off-the-shelf gear.
Digital Signal Multiprocessor (DSP): DSPs are unique microprocessors used to decode and encode video, or convert digital or video to analogue and vice versa. These operations require a microprocessor that is particularly long on mathematical calculations.DSP chips are commonly used in sonar, mobile phones, radar, home theatre audio equipment and cable set-top boxes.

Integrated Circuit

Integrated circuit English: integrated circuit, abbreviated as IC; or microcircuit, microchip, chip in electronics is a way of miniaturising circuits (mainly semiconductor devices, but also passive components, etc.) and is often manufactured on the surface of semiconductor wafers.

Circuits are manufactured on the surface of semiconductor chips, also known as thin-film integrated circuits (thin-film) integrated circuits. There is also a thick film (thick-film) integrated circuits (hybrid integrated circuit) is composed of independent semiconductor devices and passive components, integrated into the substrate or circuit board miniaturised circuits.
Integrated circuits have two main advantages over discrete transistors: cost and performance. The low cost is due to the fact that the chip prints all the components as a unit through photolithography, rather than making only one transistor at a time. The high performance is due to the fast switching of components, which consumes less energy because the components are small and close to each other. in 2006, chip areas ranged from a few square millimetres to 350 mm², which allows up to one million transistors per mm².

Processors

The central processing unit (CPU) is the core of a computer system's computing and control, and is the final execution unit for information processing and programme operation. since its creation, the CPU has made great progress in terms of logical structure, operational efficiency and functional extension.

Central Processing Unit (CPU), is one of the main equipment of electronic computers, the core of the computer accessories. Its function is to interpret computer instructions and process data in computer software.CPU is the core component of a computer that is responsible for reading instructions, decoding them and executing them. The CPU is the core component of the computer responsible for reading instructions, decoding them and executing them. The central processing unit consists of two main parts, namely, the controller, the operator, which also includes the cache memory and the bus that realises the data and control of the connection between them. The three core components of a computer are the CPU, internal memory, and input/output devices. The main functions of the CPU are to process instructions, perform operations, control time, and process data.
CPU appeared in the era of large-scale integrated circuits, the processor architecture design iteration update and integrated circuit process to promote its continuous development and improvement. From the initial specialisation in mathematical computation to the widespread use in general-purpose computation, from 4-bit to 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit and finally 64-bit processors, and from the incompatibility of various manufacturers to the emergence of different instruction set architectural specifications, the CPU has been evolving
at a rapid pace since its inception.

Integrated Circuit

An integrated circuit is a miniature electronic device or component. An integrated circuit is a circuit with a specific function that integrates a certain number of commonly used electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc., as well as the wiring between these components, through a semiconductor process. It is a new type of semiconductor device developed from the late 1950s to the 1960s. It is after oxidation, photolithography, diffusion, epitaxial, steaming aluminium and other semiconductor manufacturing process, the composition of the circuit with a certain function of the semiconductor, resistors, capacitors and other components and the connecting wires between them are all integrated in a small piece of silicon, and then welded and encapsulated in a shell of the electronic device. Its encapsulation shell has a round shell, flat or double in-line type and other forms. Integrated circuit technology, including chip manufacturing technology and design technology, mainly in the processing equipment, processing technology, packaging and testing, mass production and design innovation capabilities.

Characteristics of Integrated Circuits
Integrated circuits or microcircuit (microcircuit), microchip (microchip), chip (chip) in electronics is a circuit (mainly including semiconductor devices, including passive components, etc.) miniaturisation of the way, and is usually manufactured on the surface of semiconductor wafers.
The aforementioned integrated circuits are manufactured on the surface of semiconductor chips, also known as thin-film integrated circuits. There is also a thick film (thick-film) hybrid integrated circuit (hybrid integrated circuit) is composed of independent
semiconductor devices and passive components, integrated into the substrate or circuit board miniaturised circuit.
This article is about monolithic (monolithic) integrated circuits, i.e., thin-film integrated circuits.
Integrated circuits have the advantages of small size, light weight, fewer lead wires and soldering points, long life, high reliability, good performance, etc., as well as low cost and easy mass production. It is not only in the industrial and civilian electronic equipment such as recorders, televisions, computers and other aspects of a wide range of applications, but also in the military, communications, remote control and other aspects of a wide range of applications. With integrated circuits to assemble electronic equipment, its assembly density than the transistor can be increased dozens of times to thousands of times, the stability of the equipment working time can also be greatly improved.

Article Summary:

A microprocessor is a small computer chip containing a computer processing or central processing unit (CPU). It is an electronic device that can execute instructions and perform various operations on data. A microprocessor is the core component of a computer system and can be programmed using software to perform different tasks.
On the other hand, an integrated circuit (IC) is a small electronic circuit that contains multiple electronic components, such as resistors, transistors, capacitors, and diodes, on a single chip of semiconductor material, usually silicon.ICs can perform specific functions such as amplification, switching, and signal processing.
The main difference between a microprocessor and an IC is their use and complexity. A microprocessor is a more complex device designed to perform general-purpose computing tasks, while an IC is a more specific device designed to perform specific functions.
Another difference between microprocessors and ICs is their architecture. Microprocessors typically have a more complex architecture, including registers, arithmetic and logic units (ALUs), and control units. In contrast, integrated circuits may have a simpler architecture that includes only a few basic components, such as transistors or diodes.
