It is a controller that compares the measured value of the production process parameters with the given value and generates an output signal to drive the actuator to eliminate the deviation according to a certain regulation law, so that the parameter remains near the given value or changes according to a predetermined law.

The Role OF Electronic Regulator

The role of the electronic regulator is to adjust the output voltage of the generator, through the relay contact and the generator field excitation separation connected to different circuits, so as to control the generator excitation current, to achieve the purpose of generator output voltage stability. When the generator speed changes, the generator voltage is automatically controlled to keep it constant, to prevent the generator voltage from being too high and burning the electrical equipment and causing the battery to overcharge, and to prevent the generator voltage from being too low and causing the electrical equipment to work improperly and the battery to be undercharged. Because the generator is driven by the car engine, and the engine speed is not constant, it will cause the generator output voltage instability, so there must be an electronic device to control the generator, so that the car engine at different speeds, the generator can output a more stable voltage. The setting that controls the stable voltage of the generator is the electronic regulator.

How Many Types OF Electronic Regulators Are There

According to the matching type of alternator, the electronic regulator can be divided into:
1, the inner strap type regulator: suitable for matching with the inner strap type alternator electronic regulator is called the inner strap type regulator;
2, external iron type regulator: suitable for matching with the external iron type alternator electronic regulator is called the external iron type regulator.
In the process of use, for the transistor regulator, use the regulator specified in the automobile manual, if other models are used instead, in addition to the nominal voltage and other specified parameters are the same as the original regulator, the substitute regulator must be the same as the original regulator in the form of iron, otherwise, the generator may not work properly due to the excitation circuit. For integrated circuit regulators, they must be dedicated and cannot be replaced.

The Working Principle OF The Electronic Regulator

The working principle of the electronic regulator is that when the engine output voltage is low or there is no output for other reasons, the battery will generate current to the generator winding (the so-called countercurrent phenomenon), the electronic regulator will cut off the countercurrent, prevent the battery from excessive discharge and damage the battery and the generator, so that it will not be damaged by too much current flowing into the generator winding.
The functions of car regulator are as follows:
Adjust the generator output voltage: Connect the relay contacts to separate the excitation of the generator magnetic field to different circuits, so as to control the generator excitation current and achieve the purpose of stabilizing the generator output voltage.
Prevent excessive charging current: When the charging current is too large, the circuit will make the voltage regulator relay and current limiting relay operate at the same time, disconnect the generator excitation circuit, so that the generator stops working.
When the reverse current occurs, the charging circuit is cut off; When the reverse current occurs, the relay quickly cuts off the charging circuit.

What Is The Role OF Automotive Electronic Regulator

The principle of the automobile electronic regulator is that when the engine is low or no output due to other reasons, the battery will generate current to the winding of the generator (the so-called countercurrent phenomenon), the electronic regulator cuts off the countercurrent, preventing the overdischarge of the battery and damaging the battery and the current flowing into the generator winding is too large and damaging the generator. The regulator is composed of three relays, one is responsible for regulating the output voltage of the generator, and one is responsible for preventing the charging current from being too large. When the charging current is too large, the circuit will make the voltage regulating relay and the current limiting relay operate at the same time, disconnect the excitation circuit of the generator, and make the generator stop working. There is also a circuit responsible for cutting off the charge when there is a counter-current, and the relay acts to cut off the charge circuit when the counter-current occurs.

Whether The Automobile Electronic Regulator Is Damaged

The detection method of automotive electronic regulator is:
1. Connect the positive pole of the detector to the positive pole of the regulator, connect the regulator to the iron pole, and connect the magnetic field pole to the carbon brush with a wire;
2, use the test light to test whether the carbon brush has electricity, the light bulb indicates that the electronic regulator is normal, and the light is not damaged.
