How To Disassemble And Clean The Solenoid Valve

The steps to disassemble and clean the plug type double-head solenoid valve are as follows:
Power off: First, ensure that the solenoid valve has been disconnected from the power supply to avoid electric shocks.
Remove coil: Unscrew coil nut on solenoid valve and remove coil from solenoid valve. Note that some solenoid coils may have fixing bolts or clamps that need to be removed using a tool.
Remove the bonnet: Use a suitable tool, such as a wrench, to unscrew the bonnet from the solenoid body. Some solenoid valve covers are directly connected to the valve body, so it is necessary to rotate the valve cover.
Remove the spool and seat: Once the bonnet is open, you can see the spool and seat. Remove the spool and seat, usually by rotating or gently pulling them out.
Clean spool and seat: Clean spool and seat using appropriate cleaner and brush. Be sure to remove all dirt and sediment.
Check and replace parts: Check spool and seat wear. If wear is found, it is recommended to replace the spool and seat.
Reinstall the spool and seat: Reinstall the cleaned spool and seat back into the solenoid valve. Ensure proper installation and seal with valve body.
Install bonnet and coil: Screw bonnet back on solenoid body and make sure seal is good. Then insert the coil into the socket and tighten the coil nut to ensure that the coil is secure.
Restore power: Finally, reconnect the power supply, and test to ensure that the solenoid valve can work normally.
Please note that the above steps are for reference only, and specific removal and cleaning steps may vary depending on the model and manufacturer of the solenoid valve. Before removing and cleaning the solenoid valve, it is recommended to read the user manual of this model solenoid valve carefully or consult the advice and guidance of a professional.

Solenoid Valve Cleaning Method Detailed Explanation

Preparing Cleaning Tools

  • Clean dishwashing brush
  • Alcohol or gasoline
  • A clean rag

Cleaning Procedure

1. Remove the solenoid valve from the machine and remove it.
2. Clean the dust, oil and other debris outside the solenoid valve with a clean tableware cleaning brush.
3. Use a clean cloth dipped in appropriate amount of alcohol or gasoline, gently wipe the solenoid valve parts, be careful not to let the liquid into the solenoid valve inside.
4. After cleaning all parts of the solenoid valve, dry it or use a hair dryer to dry the water.
5. Reassemble the solenoid valve and install it back on the machine.

Cleaning Precautions

1. When cleaning the solenoid valve, attention should be paid to avoid water infiltration into the solenoid valve, so as not to damage the solenoid valve.
2. When cleaning the solenoid valve, it should be carried out according to the cleaning steps, taking care not to miss any part.
3. When assembling the solenoid valve, attention should be paid to the assembly position of each part and assembly should be carried out in strict accordance with the instructions.
In short, regular cleaning of the solenoid valve is a necessary step to maintain its normal operation. Through the correct operation of the above cleaning method, the service life of the solenoid valve can be effectively extended and the normal operation of the machine can be ensured.
