UNESCO will host a Global Forum on Artificial Intelligence

0
UNESCO will host a Global Artificial Intelligence Forum in Kelani, Slovenia, on February 5-6 to assess global progress in AI governance and discuss the relevant regulations that countries are developing to ensure that this technology serves the common good of humanity.

At the forum, 194 UNESCO Member States will report on their latest progress and current projects in the field, and will also strengthen cooperation by sharing their best regulatory practices and ensuring that this technology serves the common good. During the Forum, some 10 global private sector groups will sign the relevant UNESCO document and commit themselves to the ethical principles set out therein. This approach is part of UNESCO's drive to promote ethical practices in the private sector in order to develop trusted technologies. UNESCO will also launch a number of new initiatives related to AI ethics.
