What Is A Water Level Indicator

A water level alarm circuit is a simple mechanism used to detect and indicate water levels in elevated tanks and other containers. Today, all residents/owners use pumps to store water in elevated tanks. When water is stored in a tank, no one can identify the water level and no one knows when the tank will fill up. As a result, the water in the tank overflows, resulting in a waste of energy and water. To solve such problems, use the 555 timer's water level alarm circuit, which helps and indicates the water level in the elevated tank.
The water level alarm circuit has low cost and can be completely used for elevated water tanks, swimming pool boilers, etc. Water level alarm circuits are used in factories, chemical plants, substations and other liquid storage systems. What is a water level indicator? A water level indicator is defined as a system that can obtain information about the water level in a reservoir or tank used by a home. By using the water level indicator, we can overcome the overflow of the oil tanker.
Water level alarm circuit using 555 timer The following circuit is the water level alarm circuit using 555 timer IC. When the water level reaches its level point, it makes a clear sound. The power supply of the circuit is about 3V, so the circuit is very convenient to use. The circuit is based on an unsteady multivibrator connected around IC1, IC NE555. The operating frequency of an unsteady multivibrator depends on the values of components such as capacitors C1, resistors R1 and R2, and the resistance of the probes at A and B. If the water does not reach the level of the probe, open the road.
Using the water level alarm circuit of the 555timer if the water level does not reach the probe level, the open-circuit unsteady multivibrator does not produce any oscillation. Therefore, the circuit does not produce sound. If the water level reaches the probe, current flows in the water, so the circuit produces sound. Thus, the oscillations produced by the unsteady multivibrator are proportional to the values of C1, R1, and R2, as well as the values of the resistors at both ends of the probe. The buzzer beeps, indicating that the water level has reached the water level. If the water level does not reach the probe's water level, the open-circuit unsteady multivibrator does not produce any oscillation.
The buzzer beeps, indicating that the water level reaches the water level. The component used in this circuit is a CMOS input compatible 7-channel IC, which is a Darlington array. If the water level in the tank rises, then the water will come into contact with the probes from P1 to P7, and thus pins 7 to 1 in turn. Thus, the equivalent output pins 10 to 16 will go down one by one, while the leds will go down from 1 to 7 in turn. If the water level is at the final probe P7, the sound is generated by a piezoelectric buzzer and connected to output pin 7 together with LED16.
Water level indicator and alarm circuit diagram Water level Indicator Circuit diagram monitors the water level in the tank and simultaneously turns on the pump when the water level in the tank is low. The water level of the tank is indicated by 5 leds, and if the water level in the tank is full, the pump will shut off completely. The diagram below shows the water level indicator circuit diagram consisting of 4 probes placed in the overhead tank and ports with the microcontroller

Link To Water Level Indicator

The water level indicator circuit diagram probes are placed at 1/4th, 1/2th, and 3/4th distances and are at full water level with equal spacing between them, one above the other, and one with the bottom positive probe. The positive voltage is placed at the bottom of the overhead water tank, the full water level probe is in the overhead water tank, and the other end is connected to the base extreme of the Q16 triode by means of R4 resistance. The tank is increased to its maximum, so current flows through the base terminal, the collector voltage is reduced, and the microcontroller port 2.4 is connected. The end of the programming of the microcontroller can transmit data for the microcontroller and the LED. If the water level indicates D1, the generator automatically shuts down. When the water level is below the full probe, the base of the second transistor Q2 is opened by turning it off. For the second transistor Q2, the collector voltage is higher at P2.4. Therefore, the top tank is not full, and the same process is applied to the remaining probes, such as 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, which are connected to the base extremes of the Q1, Q2, Q3 transistors. When the microcontroller is programmed, these ports are connected to microcontroller ports such as P2.5, P2.6, and P2.7. As the water level in the tank indicates, the D3, D4 and D5 leds will light up. So the transistor will turn on, the motor will turn on. Microcontroller ports P0.0, P0.1, P0.3, and P0.4 interface with leds to indicate water levels, and these leds are connected to resistors. The P0.5 port is used to regulate the pump, the Q6 transistor is kept on, and the relay is also activated. To know the indication of low water level in the sink, the P0.7 port is connected to the LED D7. Water level alarm circuit The electronic water level alarm circuit is connected to the alarm, placed above the electronic water level circuit which is capable of alerting the family. When the water level is high or above the upper limit. The circuit diagram below shows the water level alarm circuit.
Water level alarm circuit Water level alarm circuit is similar to electronic water level circuit, but in the water level alarm circuit, there is an alarm connected to the circuit. For external water levels in an elevated tank, the sensing probe can indicate the appropriate pins for the microcontroller. When these pins are at high power level, the control signal is passed from the microcontroller to the speaker as well as the LED indicator, depending on the microcontroller program. The electronic water level alarm provides information about the water level of the tank if the water tank is full or the tank is empty. Therefore, anyone can identify the water level. By using a level sensor, we can measure the water level in the tank. The water level alarm circuit using the liquid level sensor is shown as the water level circuit diagram below. In this circuit, the circuit uses a level sensor to measure the water level in the tank. When the sensor detects a leak of water, the circuit makes a sound. Building a circuit using a microcontroller and basic electrical and electronic components is very simple.
Water level alarm circuit using a level sensor The IC used in this circuit is the LM1801, which is a low power comparator and can also provide high output current if required. When the water reaches the sensor and the reference voltage falls below the lowest level, the IC drives the ceramic sensor to emit a beep. The water level sensor circuit can use multiple sensors. The sensor can easily make a small piece of PCB etched with the appropriate pattern. The C3 capacitor is a decoupling capacitor and a 100uF/16V electrolytic capacitor. Electric motors, submersible motors, and three-phase motors. By using two motors, two collecting tanks, and two elevated water tanks, we cannot control through a single loop. When the water level in the tank is empty and full, the pump will automatically switch on/off. We can also measure the oil level of motor vehicles Advantages of the water level indicator Advantages of the water level indicator on the market Anyone can easily identify the water level by hearing the beep. By using it we can control the water level indicator Water level safety convenience The information in the article is about the water level alarm circuit using the 555 timer. I hope that by reading this article, you have some basic understanding of water level indicators, and if you have any questions about this article or the project, please feel free to comment in the following section.
